On the 1st June the lodge had a meeting in Cowes to conicide with the ball organised by Hampshire & IOW Province to commemorate the union 150 years ago. Most boats arrived on the Friday so there was plenty of time on Saturday morning to Dress Overall; fortunately the weather was fantastic! The meeting itself was held in the temple of Medina Lodge in Cowes just after lunch which was followed by a very inclusive Pontoon party right in front of the events suite, it wasn’t only Spinnaker members who enjoyed themselves!
The Ball started with the Band of the Marines Association who did a Last Night of the Proms style theme performance over dinner which was followed by a disco until late in the evening. A terrific event that will not be easily forgotten.
